The Indian School of Mines University established in 1926, invites applications from Indian nationals for the posts of Associate Professor and Assistant Professors in the departments of Applied Chemistry/ Applied Geology/ Applied Geophysics/ Applied Maths/ Applied Physics/ Computer Sc. & Engg./ Electrical Engg./ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Environmanetal Sc. & Engg./ Fuel & Mineral Engg./ Humanities & Social Sciences (English)/ Management Studies/ Mechanical Engg./ Mining Machinary Engg./ Mining Engg./ Petroleum Engg. :

• Associate Professor : Pay Scale : Rs.16400-450-20000, Qualification : PhD with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in appropriate branch with a consistently good academic record. Minimum 8 years experience of which at least 3 years at the level of Assistant Professor.
• Assistant Professor : Pay Scale : Rs.12000-420-18300/-, Qualification : Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in appropriate branch with a consistently good academic record. Minimum 3 years experience in Teaching/ Research/ Industry.

How to Apply : Prescribed application forms may be obtained from the office of the Deputy Registrar (Estt), ISM University, Dhanbad-826004 by sending a crossed demand draft of Rs.100/- drawn in favour of Registrar, ISMU, along with a self-addressed stamped (Rs.30/-) envelope of 30cmX12cm size. SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying any application fee and provision for reservation of SC/ST/PH/OBC will be applicable as per Government of India Rules. Application form may also be downloaded from the institute’s website and submitted with necessary fees to the Deputy Registrar(Estt), ISM University, Dhanbad-826004.
Applications will be received throughout the year and considered quarterly starting 31st December, 2008 till the vacancies are filled.
