ISRO SATELLITE CENTRE [ISAC] is one of the major Research and Development Centres of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) responsible for development of Satellite Technology. Over the years, ISAC has planned and executed several satellite missions of ISRO. Having successfully developed and deployed state-of-the-art operational satellites for Communication, Meteorology and Remote Sensing, the Centre is poised to leapfrog into development of advanced versions of satellites like Microwave Remote Sensing Satellites, Direct Broadcasting Satellites, Interplanetary probes, Scientific Missions, etc. Towards self-reliance, indigenous development of various advanced and critical technologies in the Satellite development activities are very essential. The Space programme in our country is focused on providing highly reliable operational services for socio-economic development of the country.
