Direct Recruitmenet of Head Constable (Radio Operator) in BSF Communication Set-up

Applications are invited from male Indian citizens belonging to OBC, SC , ST and Ex-Serviceman for the post of Head Constable (Radio Operator) in BSF Comn Set-Up in the pay scale of Rs.3200-85-4900 plus special pay of Rs.160/- PM.

  • Head Constable (Radio Operator) : 112 posts (OBC-21, SC-64,ST-27)
  • Date of commencement of Recruitment : 19/03/07
  • Qualification: Matric or 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry & mathematics from a recognised Board/Institution.
  • Age : 18-23 years as on 12/02/07 (Relaxation as per GoI rules)
  • Physical Standard: Height : 170 cms, Chest : 80 cms (85 cms after expansion, Weight: Corresponding to Height, Eye: 6/6 and 6/9 without correction

Method of selection:

  • Physical Efficiency Test : 1.6 km race in 6 1/2 minutes, long jump 3.65 mtrs in three chances, High jump 1.2 cms in three chances.
  • Written Test : One paper of 100 marks comprising questions in physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English language and General Awareness of 10+2/ITI standard. Candidates will have option to answer in English or Hindi except in English language section.

Application Fee: Crosses Bank Draft/ Indian Postal Order for Rs.50/- only payable at respective Headquarter for OBC candidates as the examination fee.
