Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd. (NPCIL), a premier central Public Sector Enterprise, under the Department of Atomic Energy involved in design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of Nuclear Power Reactors. Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for recruitment of Stipendiary Trainees as detailed below :
- Total No. of Posts : 25 posts (SC-3 ,ST-3 ,OBC-6 ,UR-13)
- Age : Should be between 18 to 25 years as on 01/11/2007. Relaxable by 5 years in the case of SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.
- Qualification : Diploma OR Licentiate with not less than 60% marks in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering from a recognised institute/university. The Diploma in Engineering or Licentiate should be of three years duration after SSC. (ii) Should have had English as one of the subjects either at SSC or at HSC level examination.
- Duration of training : 1 ½ years (18 months)
- Stipend during training: During the training period of eighteen months the Trainees will be paid a stipend of Rs. 6500/- per month (consolidated) and on successful completion of training, the Stipendary Trainees/SA may be absorbed as Scientific Assistant ‘B’ in the scale of pay of Rs. 5500-175-9000, along with other benefits and allowances as admissible from time to time.
- Selection Process : Eligible candidates will have to undergo a Selection Test at Mumbai. The test will be in two parts, Part-I will consist of multiple-choice questions on general knowledge, General awareness & General English and Part-II will consist of multiple-choice questions on Technical Subject. On merit and requirement the successful candidates will have to appear for Personal Interview before the Corporations Selection Board.
