The Union Public Service commission will hold the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2007 on 16th September, 2007 for admission to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy amd Air force Academy for the course commencing in July 2008 and Officers Training academy, Chennai for the Course (Men and Women) cpmmencing in October, 2008.
- For Indian Millitary Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1984 and not later than 1st July 1989 only are eligible.
- For Naval Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1986 (2nd July, 1984 in case of NCC Naval wing 'C' certificate holders) and not later than 1st July 1989 only are eligible.
- For Air for Academy : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1985 and not later than 1st July 1989 only are eligibl
- For Officers' Training Academy - (SSC Course for Men) : Male candidates (Unmarried or Married) born not earlier than 2nd July, 1983 and not later than 1st July 1989 only are eligible.
- For Officers Training Academy - SSC (Women Non- Technical) Course : (a) Unmarried Women, issueless widows who have not remarried, and issueless divercees (in possession of diveorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been not earlier than 2nd July, 1983 and not later than 1st July, 1989. (b) widows of Defence Personnel who have died in harness, (including those with children) are also eligible if they have not remarried. They will be granted age-relaxation of four years in the upper age limit i.e. they should have been bor not earlier than 2nd July, 1979 and not later than 1st July, 1989.
(B) Educational Qualifications:
- For Indian Millitary Academy and Officers' Training Academy : Degree of a recognised university or equivalent.
- For Naval Academy : B.Sc. (with Physics & Mathematics ) or Bachelor of Engineering.
- For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
(C) Physical Standards: candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for admission to Combined Defence Services Examination (II, 2007 as prescribed in the detailed advertisement.
Application form: The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the commission for its examination, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Ooffices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/-
Fee : Rs. 100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fees. OBC candidates are required to pay full fees.
Address and Last date for Receipt of Applications: All applicants must reach the "Secretary, Union Public Service commission, Dholpur house, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi - 110069" either by hand or by Post/Speed Post only or by courier, on or before 21/05/2007. For candidates of far-flung areas and abroad the last date is 28th May, 2007.
