The NIT Calicut invites applications from Indian nationals, possessing excellent academic background, commitment to quality teaching and potential for carrying out outstanding research, for faculty positions at the level of Professor, Assistant Professor and Lecturer in various departments:
  • Chemical Engineering : 8 posts (Professor -2 , Asstt. Professor-2, Lecturer-4)
  • Civil Engineering : 19 posts (Professor -5 , Asstt. Professor-5, Lecturer-9)
  • Computer Engineering : 18 posts (Professor -2 , Asstt. Professor-8, Lecturer-8)
  • Electrical Engineering : 16 posts (Professor -2 , Asstt. Professor-6, Lecturer-8)
  • Electronics & Communication Engineering : 16 posts (Professor -4 , Asstt. Professor-6, Lecturer-6)
  • Mathematics : 8 posts (Professor -2 , Asstt. Professor-1, Lecturer-5)

Minimum Qualifications and Experience : As per AICTE norms

Age: Maximum age for Lecturers is 40 years with permissible relaxation for reserved categories as per rules. Age of superannuation is 65 years as per rules in force.

Scale of Pay :

  • Professor: Rs.16,400-450-20,900-500-22400/-
  • Assistant Professor: Rs.12,000-420-18,300/-
  • Lecturer: Rs. 8000-275-13,500/-

Application fee: Rs. 600/- for General and OBC Candidates and Rs. 150 for SC/ST/PH candidates in the form of DD payable at SBI Calicut REC Branch (Branch Code 2207), Calicut drawn in favour of the Director, National Institute of Technology, Calicut.
